Here is the agenda for the City Council meeting tonight:
In the Work session, we will be discussing:
- Overhauling the ordinance about signage in the City. We are looking at Aurora’s and Northfield’s signage ordinances to guide what Bedford’s will look like. We are discussing how best to maintain certain standards while not infringing on residents’ and businesses’ freedom of speech.
In the Regular session, we will be voting on:
- Updating the City’s credit card policy to make it compliant with recent State law changes. (I expect this will be a 2nd reading)
- Better defining who can get compensation for overtime and how much they can accrue. (I expect this will be a 2nd reading)
- Making a change to appropriations in the budget to several different funds.
- Hiring a videography company (so this will likely be the last council meeting I video)
- Hiring a company to look at plans submitted to the city
